Training
As Basic Training Institution was meant to impart training to the elementary teachers, this up grated in to District Institute of education and training it is entrusted to inpart training to pre service teathers and in service teachers and not only the academic training but also orientation training in various subjects i.e. English, Mathematics, language, science, social science as well as short term, mid term and long term research work. It has been entrusted to control the examination system in primary and middle Education and has to analyse the result of its district and has to diagnoc the causes of result percentages and to improve it by special training schedules .It is also entrusted to prepare examination papers, modify them.
In short the DIET has a great responsibility to improve overall uplift of educational standard from the root level.
Training needs assessment
The training need assessment is carried out in three ways
(1) Teacher evolution:
(a) Pre test analysis
(b) By action research
(c) Results of studies are utilised in District specific Training programmes
2.Learner evolution:
(a) Sample copies analysis of 5th and 8th Board Examination
(b) Monitoring of classrooms processes.
